When Larry King signed off on his 25 years as CNN's popular talks show host, it generated lists of his best interviews.  Kissing Marlon Brando on the lips was tops.  Amongst the other top ten, you could say that his interview debate with then running presidential candidates Al Gore and Ross Perot drew memorable chuckles.

The story goes like this:  The NAFTA Debate (1993) — Perot, once a formidable political figure went on LKL to debate then Vice President Al Gore on NAFTA. Using tactics he learned during his Harvard debate team days, Gore sat especially close to Perot to throw him off his guard.  When the VP pressed Perot, saying, “I’m listening — I haven’t heard the answer, but go ahead,” Perot snapped, “That’s cause you haven’t quit talking.”  (CBS) The stuff SNL parodies are made of."

For more than fifty years, in so many ways seen and unseen, US Navy Veteran and iconic entrepreneur H. Ross Perot, Sr. has been the U.S. military’s greatest friend.

On Monday night, he was paid tribute to at GI Film Festival, the nation’s only military film festival at the Newseum.

Colonel David Sutherland, Bill Chatfield and former Senator Elizabeth Dole (R-NC)
The evening began with a Red Carpet and then featured a GI Film Festival premiere (a short film about Mr. Perot).  The Festival then hosted a seated 3 course dinner catered by Wolfgang Puck.

Proceeds from the event will support the GI Film Festival, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a positive image for American GIs through the medium of film.
