The Hangover felt 'round the world!

Some might call it the hangover felt 'round the world after guests united Friday night in a simultaneous global charity party. The Global Party, which was inspired by the lead character in Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days took place in 80 venues ranging in location from Paris to Dubai.

In DC, the city’s fun crowd gathered at hot spot Lima to drink, dance and celebrate late into the night.  Guests were encouraged to “dress as if the world’s your stage” – and fashionable guests responded in kind. The whole event was set to benefit more that 80 global charities including The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, Virgin Unite and Rock the Vote (the chosen charity for the DC event). With an expected global attendance of more than 80,000 people, the event is sure to provide massive attention and financial support to all the chosen causes.

Feeling like a hybrid between a fashion show and a music video, even the atmosphere felt global. Lima’s multiple levels offered choices for just how any guests would want to party, whether it be dancing in the lowest level to the tunes of celebrity DJ Taryn Manning or mingling on the top floor in the ultra exclusive Vetro with actress Hayden Panettiere.

Around the World in 80 Days proposed just how small the world really is, and after this party, it turns out you don’t even need a common soundtrack to get everyone dancing for the same cause.
