Our cup of tea.

Nobody fell down a rabbit hole that we know of at ELLE’s book party for Ali Wentworth at The Four Seasons, but getting stuck on the peanut brittle is another story.

In between Champagne, mushrooms and chocolates, the author regaled guests with life stories from her just published "Ali in Wonderland: And Other Tall Tales."

The society heavy event was the first in a series of local book signings.  She is after all, the daughter of Muffie Brandon - former Social Secretary to Nancy Reagan - so chic was the name of the game this night.

Elle Editor-in-Chief Robbie Myers and Ali's sister Sissy welcomed hundreds of guests including Hunter and Kathy Biden.

As for George, Wentworth told us:   "I’ll tell you one thing about George. He’s anchoring GMA, fills in for Diane Sawyer on World News and he is now doing this This Week with George Stephanopoulos.  I’m hoping he’ll take a job as a doctor in private practice just so he can fill in the 9-10 hour.”

“Ali Wentworth is funny and warm and crazy all at once. Like Barbara Eden. But on something. Like crystal meth.” (Alec Baldwin)

File this soiree under mad hatter.
