If you're hoping to catch a glimpse of celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck dishing it up at at "The Source" this weekend, well..... you can just fergettabout it....he won't be there.
Last night he paired with Vertu and wife Gelila Asseta Puck to host an exclusive pre-Oscar dinner in support of Dream for Future Africa Foundation, a star studded affair with Jada Pinkett Smith, Jessica Biel, Venus Williams, Ryan Seacrest and LeAnn Rimes.

So now you're asking "who is Vertu?" It's not who, but what. Vertu is the market leader in luxury mobile phones - a luxurious handset that strikes the perfect balance
between modern technology, design and unique lifestyle services - or so we are told. Want to know more about it? Look it up!
Guests attending the opulent soiree had the exclusive opportunity to experience
the Vertu lounge at Wolfgang's CUT at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
“Vertu has established a great relationship with the Pucks and we were honored to celebrate the Oscars and support Gelila’s Dream For Future Africa Foundation,” said Casey Gorman, Managing Director, Vertu Americas. “CUT is the perfect location for such an event. Not only is it a favorite haunt of Vertu owners, but it’s also remarkably close to Vertu’s Rodeo Drive Store — the heartland of Vertu in the United States.” OK already, we want one.

As the official chef of the Oscars Governor’s Ball, Wolfgang prepared a lavish, three-course meal that included Maryland Blue Crab, Louisiana Shrimp Louis Cocktail and American Wagyu / Angus “Kobe Style” New York Sirloin.
Alejandro Orfila next to President Carter |
Some of us remember when Helga Orfila - famous for the photo at The Panama Canal Treaty signing with then President Jimmy Carter and wife of former Secretary of The OAS Alejandro Orfila - used to fly in Wolfgang's pizzas from LA for dinner parties at their country home in Middleburg. The photo, which has disappeared from cyberspace, was all wonderfully scandalous and launched Washingtonians into shock mode for years. Find the photo and we'll ask Wolfgang to fly in some pizza.
Talk about moving up the food chain. Congrats Wolfgang.
