The brunettes dominated the field Saturday during the seventh annual Blondes vs. Brunettes powderpuff football game to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. The action packed match up raised more than $120,000 for research, treatment and awareness programs for those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
Brunettes came out on top, 26-22, winning back the title in the match-up after the blondes took the trophy in 2010.
D.C. was the birthplace of the Blondes vs. Brunettes fundraiser idea, which now hosts similar games and events across the country, from Nashville to Chicago. In total, all the regional chapters have brought together nearly $2 million for the cause.
