Dalton Pratt sounds like the title of a romance novel, but it's actually a new boutique that opened on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown featuring contemporary home furnishings, elegant jewelry and other fashionable accessories.
The owners, Brittany Carlson and Caroline Dalton, wanted to create a store that was “Contemporary, modern, different than anything DC has.” They have definitely succeeded. They now have two floors of fashions that are indeed unique.
The first floor features jewelry, scarves and purses as well as unique coats and sweaters. The second floor showcases contemporary home furnishings “for the person who has everything.” A popular item was an old-fashioned phone handset that could be plugged into to your cell phone for that old time feeling. Among these art pieces were other decorative conversation pieces to liven up your living spaces.
When asked about her intentions for starting the store, Brittany Carlson responded: “I always find stuff when I’m traveling to buy, but I can’t find anything unusual here.”
