Where's George?

We didn't see George Clooney either coming or going at the PEOPLE/TIME party at The St. Regis, nor did we see Bristol Palin who was there last year.  That's probably a good thing - not George, but Bristol.  It would have been a game changer.

Screenwriter Danny Strong of 'Game Change' was hobnobbing on the patio with everyone he met at the Washington premiere for the controversial flick which examines the McCain-Palin campaign.

Popular conversation of the night was Lindsay Lohan, guest of FOX's Greta van Sustern.

Favorite thing to do was cab it home, drop off the 60 pound (we didn't weigh it, coulda been 80) goodie bag and move on again.

The annual party, hosted by PEOPLE managing editor Larry Hackett & Washington Editor Sandra Sobieraj Westfall and TIME's managing editor Rick Stengel and Washington Bureau Chief Michael Duffy on the eve of the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, is considered the most coveted pre-party invite.
