Congressman Jerry Lewis and author Tom Clancy were honored at The 2012 For the Love of Sight Visionary Awards Dinner at The Ritz-Carlton. The event was preceded by a book signing by Clancy.

"The Foundation Fighting Blindness honored Tom Clancy with our Visionary Award not only because he has gifted the world with riveting novels, but also for providing tremendous resources that have allowed doctors to pursue research into effective treatments and cures for eye diseases," said The Foundation's Allie Gebhardt.
His riveting novels include The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear & Present Danger and The Sum of All Fears.

The FFB's mission is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa (RP), macular degeneration, Usher Syndrome, and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.
