Spring was in the air and the trees were just waiting to bloom on Wednesday when celebrants gathered in the garden of Georgetown's Betsey Johnson store to kick-off the National Cherry Blossom Festival with a pre-celebration for the annual Pink Tie Party.
Guests sipped on pink
cocktails which were a perfect treat for the warm night and munched on
passed hors d'oeuvres.
This year's Pink Tie Party will be held on March 20th at the Mayflower Hotel and will celebrate the Centennial for the Cherry Blossoms.
The event will be hosted by culinary superstars Jose Andres and Roy Yamaguchi and will include dozens of local restaurant favorites who are primed to participate, all creating spring and cherry blossom inspired dishes.
