N Street Village, the award-winning social services agency that provides shelter and support to homeless and low-income women in the Washington, DC metro area hosted its Sixth Annual Luncheon this week at The National Press Club.

Schroeder Strivling, N Street Village Executive Director, said that "Despite this challenging environment, we know that the N Street Village model is effective. Last year over 90% of all residents coping with addiction and/or mental health issues were able to achieve their goals for sobriety.  At N Street Village we seek to be a new kind of community – a place where we live out our vision for social justice through our emphasis on the nature and quality of our relationships and connections."

Members of the community who support N Street Village include Eleanor Clift, Newsweek Daily Beast; Dr. Johnetta Cole, President of Spelman College; Gloria Mayfield Banks and Mary Kay, Inc.
